Ms. Işıl Ökten is specialized in banking, finance, debt capital markets, Islamic finance and derivatives.
Ms. Ökten has extensive experience in a wide range of finance matters including cross-border syndicated and bi-lateral lending, acquisition finance, project finance, structured finance, debt capital markets, derivatives and Islamic finance. Ms. Ökten advises many financial institutions and domestic and international corporations regularly in their finance projects.
Ms. Ökten has a combination of international cross border and Turkish law expertise. She is qualified in Turkey, England and New York and this allows her to offer expert advice on multiple cross-border structures.
Previously, she has worked at two international law firms for a total of 14 years (Istanbul 12 years and London 2 years) and was a partner and the head of banking and finance department at both firms. She has also worked as in house legal counsel at one of the biggest Turkish banks to advice on cross border deals for three years.
